Portrait Photographer Mayfair
-
Commission for Optimum Asset Management based in Mayfair. The client needed some interesting corporate portraits for a new website they were launching and had been advised by their designer to get some decent corporate portraits. I have been experimenting with using reflections recently in corporate portraits as the trend in architecture is to use lots of sheet glass in new and refurbished London buildings.

Commercial photography Hampshire
These are a selection of business photographs taken at the Winchester University Business School in Hampshire and were commissioned by Hampshire graphic designers The Cradduck Design Company.
As a commercial photographer based in Hampshire it is good to get a local commission but this was also an interesting brief.
Professor Neil Marriott head of the University if Winchester Business School had asked David Cradduck to help them project a more corporate feel to the Universities marketing material. I was commissioned to tour the university and capture photographs that reflected the business element whilst still retaining the feel of education.
For a photographer this was quite a tricky commission as I was having avoid slipping into the trap of photographing the typical education style photographs and having to focus on creating corporate and business imagery.
There were plenty of students in the University enjoying the Hampshire sunshine, and this was a problem for me as taking photographs of the students sitting around enjoying themselves did not project the right image, as more commercial photographs need to look more studious and professional. This was a half day commission and I managed to capture 200 plus photographs.

Corporate Photographer in The City
This was from a series of photographs I took in The City. I was trying to capture some generic corporate photographs that would show corporate life in The City. This was taken in Leadenhall Street and I had the shot framed but was waiting to get the right business man to walk through the shot, whilst praying the sun would stay out and that the traffic lights would stay red, keeping the traffic out of the frame. What is interesting is that I feel the sunlight bouncing off the chrome railings gives the photograph ‘The City’ atmosphere I was after, but it was rejected by one picture library because of lens flare. Corporate office photography
Do corporate mugshots on a white background give a good first impression to potential clients? These were shot for a corporate events business in Berkshire. They liked my reportage corporate photography and asked me to spend a couple of hours capturing staff portraits around their head office. What really pleases me about these is that they are not only a good example of corporate portrait photography, but they give a really good impression of the company. You get the feel and atmosphere of how they work and communicate. Informal corporate photography needs to show your people in an approachable and professional light. So many companies see corporate portrait photography as a requirement that needs to be fulfilled as a page allocated on a website or a brochure. We have clicked on the ‘about us’ and ‘meet the team’ link and been faced with rows of headshots on a white background. What does that tell you about a company? Use your corporate portrait photography as a positive marketing tool. Corporate photography © Grantly Lynch 2010
Event photographer Hampshire
A few portraits shot at a Hampshire networking event. The event was organised by Haley Storey who runs the Portsmouth About My Area website. The event portraits are of the key speaker Ian Dickson a performance coach. Ian was a very good subject to photograph as he has a natural confidence in front of an audience. If you capture good event photography at your next event, it will benefit the marketing of any future events.
